Elizabeth Kerr - Acting Director

Elizabeth Kerr Elizabeth Kerr is married, the mother of eight adult children and a grandmother.  She has a theology degree with a special interest in spirituality for women and its integration into family life.  She enjoys giving one on one spiritual guidance and the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius in daily life.

Sharyn Price

Sharyn-Price-large1-image Sharyn Price is the Personal Assistant to the Director of the Faber Centre.  She is married and has two children.

Sharyn is in the office on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, from 9.15 am to 2.45 pm.

Mary Robson

Mary Robson is a graduate of the Arrupe Program and has a degree in Theology and is completing a  Master of Arts (Spiritual Direction).  Her interest is in the transformative process of Ignatian Spirituality in the ordinary moments of everyday life.

Angela Botti fdcc

Angela Botti fdcc Angela Botti fdcc is a Canossian Daughter of Charity and has spent most of her life in Adult Faith Formation. She trained in the Jesuit School at CRD, Boston. Since 1998 has been giving Ignatian Spiritual Exercises in their different forms, particularly 8 Day Directed Retreats and the Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life, and giving Spiritual Direction.

Larry Cox

Larry-Cox  Larry Cox was born in Alberta Canada, worked in Air Traffic Services in Canada, PNG, Australia, is assisting in the coordination of the TPCH Chaplaincy Dept (all faith groups), and Team Leader of the Catholic Team.  Supervisor of pastoral care training for the Multi-faith Academy for Chaplaincy and Community Ministries. In 2016 elected as the Queensland Regional Minister of the Secular Franciscan Order. Has a keen interest and activity as a ‘Giver of the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises in Daily Life' in Brisbane.

Steve Cunningham

Steve Cunningham Steve Cunningham is married with four grown up children and has an extensive business background. He is a Companion in the Ministry of the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises. Steve’s particular interest is in promoting Ignatian Spirituality to those people and communities beyond the metropolitan areas.

Anne Dawson osu

Anne Dawson OSU Anne Dawson osu has a background in education and has developed and taught courses in spirituality in the Christian tradition and in contemporary spirituality.  Has a special interest in women’s spirituality, and in providing opportunities for people to access retreats and formation courses through the Faber Outreach program.

Gerry Ellis

Gerry Ellis Gerry Ellis is a retired physiotherapist. She is married to Chris and they have four adult children and nine grandchildren.  Her special interests are the Thirty Week Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius in Daily Life, shorter Prayer Days and Retreats offered in parishes, and to bring people of all faith backgrounds into a deeper relationship with God.

Cecilia Formby

Cecilia Formby Cecilia Formby was born in England and migrated to Australia in 1973 with her husband and two small children. Has six children and two long term foster children, and many other short term foster children. Did the Spiritual Exercises more than 25 years ago, guided by a Good Samaritan Sister. Completed the Arrupe Program in Queensland and now gives the Spiritual Exercises. She is also interested in general spiritual direction.

Helen Goldsmith

Helen Goldsmith Helen Goldsmith works as a Pastoral Ministry Co-ordinator in a Gold Coast parish.  She has a background in Banking and Finance, and Education.  Helen holds a Master in Religious Education and is a graduate of the Brisbane Arrupe Program.  She is completing studies in Master of Arts (Spiritual Direction in the Ignatian Tradition).  Helen is interested in the application of Ignatian Spirituality in the pastoral context of everyday activities and ordinary life. 

Clive Hamlin

Clive Winston Hamlin Clive Hamlin is a semi retired insurance broker. He has been trained as a giver of the Spiritual Exercises in the Queensland Arrupe Programme. Clive has a special interest in the giving of retreats in daily life. He is also involved with a group of men who conduct parish based weekend retreats.

Lynne Head-Weir

Lynne Head-Weir cropped3 Lynne Head-Weir is a giver of Ignatian Spiritual Exercises, a practicing visual artist and community arts worker [Grad Dip Community Cultural Development] with a background in addiction counselling [Bachelor Community Welfare] and creative arts therapy [Master of Arts]. Consequently, Lynne is drawn towards combining creative arts within the faithful processes of Ignatian Spiritual Exercises as opportunities to deepen prayer experiences and enrich relationship with God.  Understanding the importance of community, Lynne welcomes being Faber Team.

Catherine Hefferan rsm

Catherine Hefferan rsm Catherine Hefferan rsm is a Sister of Mercy and has a background in Nursing, Midwifery, Psychiatry and Counselling. She has a BTheol, Master of Ministry, MA (Theology/Spiritual Direction) and a Graduate Certificate in Supervision/Spiritual Direction. She trained at 'Siloam', Heart of Life Spirituality Centre and is a spiritual director, supervisor, director of retreats.  When giving the Spiritual Exercises she draws on the wisdom of the Mystics.

Kerry Holland

Kerry Holland Kerry Holland is a practising artist and a giver of the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises as a member of the Faber CIS team. She is interested in the interaction of prayer and creative processes; particularly within the dynamic of the full Spiritual Exercises.

Trish Ingall

Trish Ingall3 Trish Ingall hais married with teenaged children and lives in Bundaberg.  She teaches Religious Education at Shalom College and enjoys working to help develop the spirituality of young people, particularly in the Ignatian way of finding God in all things.  Trish also gives the Spiritual Exercises through Catholic parishes in Bundaberg, as an extension of the Faber program.

Chris Kennedy

Chris Kennedy20172 Christopher Kennedy lives on the Gold Coast and is married with two adult children. He recently retired from the property profession with the last 10 years spent as a Senior Director with a global valuation and advisory firm. Today, he is a giver of the Exercises and Spiritual Director with a Master of Arts, (Spiritual Direction) from the Jesuit College of Spirituality, University of Divinity, Melbourne. He is also passionate about the formation of men in a life of discernment and prayer in the Ignatian tradition. To this end, he is also an active member of the menALIVE Ministry in Australia.

Meredith Nicholls

Meridith Nicholls Meredith Nicholls is married, the mother of two adult children and grandmother.  She has a Masters degree in Spiritual Direction and is a giver of the Spiritual Exercises in daily life.  Her desire is to companion others from different faith backgrounds to experience a deeper relationship with God through Ignatian Spirituality.

Peter Shakhovskoy

Peter Shakhovskoy Peter Shakhovskoy has a background in engineering, communications technology and management. He is married with five adult sons and also has a Grad Dip in Ministry and a Masters in Theology. He has been involved in giving men’s retreats nationally in Australia and NZ over 8 years. He also presents the Soul Space retreats in the Brisbane Archdiocese and is co -founder of Men Alive.

Maria Shelley

Maria Shelley Maria Shelley is married with 8 adult children. Spent 18 years in Papua New Guinea, teaching and after ongoing training became a catechist. Continued as a catechist in Australia for over 20 years. Became a member of CLC, and after doing the Spiritual Exercises did further study and formation in Ignatian Spirituality.

Denise Sullivan

Denise Sullivan Denise Sullivan is a mediator and counsellor and has been giving the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises since 2008.She has a BA(LLB) and Master of Counselling degree, and trained as a giver of the Ignatian Exercises through the Arrupe Program in Brisbane.

Chris Webb

Chris Webb Christine Webb has completed the Arrupe Program to give the Spiritual Exercises.  She is interested in giving the First Spiritual exercises in the future and is endeavouring to complete the Master of Arts in Spiritual Direction from the University of Divinity in Melbourne.  She is a mother, grandmother and retired teacher.

Peter Webb

Peter Webb Peter Webb is married with seven children and seven grandchildren. Peter is Prayer and Spiritual Development Mentor at a Catholic high school, having studied theology and leadership at Jesuit universities Boston College and Fordham. 

Min Wullems

Min Wullems Min Wullems is marrried with three adult children. He is a computer consultant who builds custom software. He has extensive experience with RCIA and Parish Pastoral Councils. He has done the Spiritual Exercises three times, as a 30 day experience and as a 30 week experience. Ignatian Spirituality fundamental to his life and he desires to share this with others through spiritual direction and the giving of the Spiritual Exercises.

Our focus is not religious services, but spiritual exercises and spiritual guidance for persons of different religions or of no religion, to develop their freedom and the interiority of their daily human experiences, to discern their beliefs, and for Christian believers to explore their faith in God for a better service of God, through, with, and in Christ.
